Activity 06 – UX quote Quest

My favorite quote from the video would have to be “When someone asks you what it’s like to use a product or service, they’re asking about your user experience”. I like this quote because it highlights the difference between UX and UI in very simple terms that makes it easy to remember.

My second favorite quote has to be “And if you intend to drive people away from your site (or any product), it’s hard to imagine a more effective approach than making them feel stupid when they use it.” I think this is the key of accessibility for users is making everything as accessible and simple as possible.

My favorite quote from a video I watched was this “If you’re working with a big company that has a lot of resources, they can have an entire team that makes up the entire UX design process and each person has their own specialities”. The video highlighted an interesting point that UI and UX designers can correlate with each other and designers could do both. There is that overlap at times.

What is the difference between UI and UX? User Interface are the design elements that a designer looks into when creating a website. That includes but not limited to, white space, typography, logos, design, and colors. UX refers to how accessible and overall experience of a user’s time on the site. UX is constantly adapting and trying to improve for the experience of the user.
